@Waslandia_DesignsAbout the Artist
Born in 1952, Wayne grew up with the free-spirited ideals of the '60s and '70s, deeply influenced by the counterculture movement. His love for music, particularly Pink Floyd’s iconic track “Money”, resonated with his own journey of finding freedom and expression. While his heart yearned to create art, life initially led him down a different path. A devoted accountant for decades, Wayne spent much of his working life in the structured world of numbers, all the while dreaming of the colorful freedom that art could offer.
Though he once doubted his ability to turn his passion into a viable career, the joy of painting and the quiet power of watercolors began to take root in his soul. In his retirement, Wayne finally decided to follow his true calling, embracing the vibrant world of art full time. With a deep admiration for nature and wildlife, his paintings often feature majestic big cats and serene landscapes, rendered in strikingly realistic watercolor techniques. He loves to display the piercing and unique personality of each of his animal subjects, capturing their raw strength and individuality with each brushstroke.
Now, after years of personal growth and overcoming his doubts, Wayne is ready to share his creations with the world. What was once a dream deferred is now a reality—each painting is a testament to the journey he’s taken and to the belief that it’s never too late to pursue what sets your heart alight.
Wayne now brings his art to audiences, offering a unique blend of nostalgia, nature, and freedom.
